I imagine how terrible that must be to lose 3 in a short space of time.

some months ago there was a lot of pigs all over the place dying off, maybe its the same thing that they had.

I was worrying about that as well...

Thank you all for your replies and for wishing Coconut good luck over the weekend while he stays at the vet.

Poor little Jellybean has now lost both her mum and her dad and I have lost 3 of my piggy children including Brandy-Snap. Don't want to lose Coconut as well.

Rushing to the vet like that has aggravated my pulmonary embolism so I am in a lot of pain physically as well as emotionally right now but blood clot be damned we are going to do a complete health check on all remaining pigs and completely blitz the hell out of all the cages/ toys etc in the hope (however small), that we can stop whatever is causing all this!

I will post Caramel and Rasher's Rainbow Bridge thread when we are done as we are going to start right now (just got back from getting some more food, hay and bedding for them from the supermarket so we can throw what we already had out, just in case).
 
Oh you poor thing. You are going through hell. I am in shock. I cannot stop thinking of you and your piggies. I wish I could help. :(
 
I don't even know how to begin even thinking about how much pain you must be in right now, it's terrible news, and I'm so sorry for you i can't begin to put into words how much i hope your other piggies pull though, it must be devastating ...
 
I have just caught up on this thread, the last time I looked in things were looking up. OH this is just too horrible!!8...8...8...
I can not even begin to imagine what you are going through, the grief and the worry for the others must be awful :{
All I can say, is I wish you all the luck in the world for Coconut, and I hope the vet can work out whats happening to your poor piggies.
 
Something's amiss, that's very tragic, and I hope you get to the bottom of it soon.. sounds like a virus that spreads pretty quickly and takes hold fast.. Healing vibes for Coconut (((((((((())))))))))))) really hop he makes it XX
So sorry for your losses, it's a lot to cope with in such a short period of time :(

I really don't know what to say, its a big shock. You must be devastated.

My thoughts and best wishes go to Coconut now who I hope to god is ok.

Oh my God darling this is awful... I read the first part of the thread before work today and I was keeping all my fingers crossed for Rasher. I can't possibly imagine how devastating this must be. I have lost 2 piggies in 7 weeks but I don't know how I'd cope with this!

I know that everyone here is sending all the luck in the world to you, Coconut and Jellybean. If we can do anything to help, please let us know x

Thank you so much to everyone that has replied, we really do appreciate your kind words and support. I have just posted Caramel and Rasher's Rainbow Bridge thread (as they were a couple and had a son and daughter it didn't seem right to do separate threads for them).

I can't describe how I feel. I want to break down and cry but I can't. I feel a mixture of numbness and confusion and I can't shake it. I'm also worried about Coconut, who is still at the vet (no phone call from them this time - hoping that is a good sign) and worried for the rest of my children/ pigs because we don't know what is going on.

I will update their Rainbow Bridge thread tomorrow when I have written them a note and decided what things of ours I want them to take with them to the bridge.

Now I am going to go and lie down as everything that has been going on meant a lot of (literally) running around which has caused pain in my chest and back again (probably from my pulmonary embolism) made worse by the mass clean out and disinfect we have just done - but it was more than worth it if it stops this happening anymore.

Thank you again to everyone that has posted, we really do appreciate it.

Just now caught this thread. So sorry you lost your piggys. Hope your lil one fighting at the vet was caught in time n he makes it. Good for you on all the care n love you give them. I know its not much consilation seeing that they r gone..but they went "loved" and cared about! Hugs..i couldnt imagine
 
what a terrible time you are having. i cannot imagine how you are feeling right now. RIP little ones and i really hope coconut makes it
