My pig is roughly 4 years old, and recently has been very mean to me (which is quite unlike him)

Today, though I got him out of his cage and all he wants to do is cuddle.
Normally he would jump up all the stairs to get up (which is my favorite thing ever!) but now he won't jump up unless I help him.

I've noticed that he seems pretty awkward about his back left leg and decided to poke around at it.

The leg where the back of the foot and the lower part of the thigh meet is a little thicker and not as bendable as the other leg.

I'd like to believe its arthritis or another kind of joint issue, because he's slowly returning to himself.

Or, I could be totally wrong and he somehow broke his leg.

I'm going to wait a week or two and if I notice him acting less active and even worse, then I'll take him to the vet.

Why wait a week or two ?

From what you are describing, I think he would benefit from a check up now .

Have you weighed him recently? Have there been any changes in his weight?
