don't get me started on this show only watched it twice today being one. I don't watch tv only rarely and this is why. Pitiful excuses and just people who want 5 minutes of fame. The second home whilst not ideal was probably best today. Large pen and more natural way to live. A whole carrot doesn't harm them as a treat @madguinealady :)

Surprised no one on here has slammed the last home the water bottles were green, she actually said she bred them at the beginning to see what colours they came out as. Disgusting.
Another cheap ITV production at the expense of animals. To be fair I thought both homes chosen were the the best ones.

I wasn't watching that closely was waiting for a delivery but I thought they looked like breeder blocks when I saw third home

didnt notice the bottles just the small cages and how nervous the piggies seemed with her and her children. Says her ambition is to start a rescue. Lets hope that doesnt happen

Problem with having them in small cages in a shed, little to no interaction. I have 30 boys but non are skittish and all live in large cages in a room I spend a lot of time in, makes world of difference. Made me laugh when she said they ate better then her kids, one bean per piggy :))

did everyone see todays episode, i wanted to jump in the tv and steal the 2 wee piggies a boar, Bob and sow, Tiggy. I think the right place was found for them, the lady with 24 has 1 less than me, I think she was great as well, and the first lady I think if she were to learn and do her homework will give a piggie a great home, I have to say I have been in tears everyday watching this programme, thinking how hard it would be if I ever had to give up my babies, I run a boarding service as well and its sad to see them leave.

all my boys and lady live indoors in reasonable sized cages, and get out to run around everyday, I have large runs for them outside, I felt that everyone, had the right intentions to care and love the piggies, my spike hates large cages and lives in a very small cage, he loves it and he hates running around he has to be the most stubborn piggie I have anyone else got a piggie like this.

now you mention it the third lady not so great, I would do not like it when people deliberately breed their piggies my little lady ruby, was a boy called rodney when i got her, and now she has 3 beautiful baby boys, accident she is now going to live with my castrated boy gizzie, the cages were small I just watched it again, and the bottles were green. all my cages are cleaned daily and bottles and bowls cleaned as well.

i wasnt impressed with the third woman and wouldnt have even considered her. The first lady seemed to genuinely fall in love with them as did the second couple. The piggies seemed to take to them and seemed very relaxed. They werent with the third home. I think the first lady will go on to get piggies, once introduced you get the bug. She will make a great owner.

I have 32 boars at moment and they are all in large cages, bowls and water bottles are spotless. I doesn't take long to keep on top of things so no excuse for third lady.

I didn't see it, what was the reason for rehome them?
Her and her partner had split up and she had to move into a smaller flat with no garden. Said she didn't have time to give them the four hours floor time they needed. To me she had space to expand their cage and could grow grass for them but maybe finances were difficult. She seemed genuinely upset

I told myself I wouldn't watch this again. Has there been a second episode with piggies then?

Aww right i see, I've never had to give up a pet but i imagine it would be very hard x
i had to rehome 12 rabbits because i broke my ankle then my arm and could no longer keep up with the cleaning out and had one with fly strike. Knew then they had to be somewhere else. Have also had to rehome a dog that kept getting out (kids young and as soon as door opened he was away) and a pup that my older dog was attacking. Both rehomed through an animal charity with homechecks etc. It is very difficult but you have to consider the animals needs first.Aymee it is on demand. Two piggies this time

question. With the two boys... Were they snipped? The new owners said they were going to join a group of three girls.

i saw the third one... Was not impressed by the green bottles and small cages. Plus she didn't seem to be feeding a variety of green things...

Keep missing this show and I can't catch up on it as I won't join the online site.

I guess its good I miss it or I'd get angry over it.

there is going to be rehoming to rabbits on tuesday program hope it not kids they pick

Ta for the headsup. Will be interesting to see the size of the home they end up in. love him is, really miss mine

In the first episode the lady from wood green seemed to be saying that having a neutered boar would help in the social structure of a larger group. ..is this always necessary?

Just saw the second episode with Bob and Tiggy. Some people just don't have a clue. It makes me angry and upset for the pigs.

I think they sort of keep the peace between sows but I have a group of 4 and a group of 6 all sows and they do fine with no boar

I think by the sounds of all your comments that the programme would make me too cross to watch it!

Have to disagree about guinea pigs and children though - my two are absolutely brilliant with their piggies, and would put most adults to shame with their handling, knowledge and care :) I think guinea pigs are great children's pets if the mum or dad is guinea pig savvy and interested and very involved. I just have to stick up for good kids!

My son's school just got class guinea pigs, which I have to admit I was not thrilled about but they have got a 120 cm cage, lots of hay, and one of the TAs who is very into animals is taking the piggies home each weekend. I did make sure that everyone involved in the piggie's care was aware that I was an "interested party" and that I could help with weekend and holiday care/hay deliveries/vet visits etc. I will keep an eye on them...... x
the only good thing I have to say about this programme is that woodgreen know their stuff. That is all......
