Baby Piggies!

Please brace yourself that you will see some dominance behaviour in the next few days once initial acceptance has happened. This is an integral part of establishing a working hierarchy. Glad that Smudge is looking a lot happier at having company.

Sadly mum decided to let my two year old screaming cousin in and scare them silly. I asked her to keep him away!

Still nothing gone wrong, Smudges been grooming them and been very successful. Very easy bonding.
I need a name for piggy two! I have Bramble but need something else.

Very cute guinea pigs :D Ermm not good at picking our own piggies names lol, I'll leave that up to others to help you with, I hope the bonding continues to go smoothly.

I'm perfectly prepared for the dominance behaviour; I've seen it before with Cookie and Smudge; took weeks until it settled.

I'm stil very happy as Smudge seems very content to curl up with them at the moment!

I may move another hay holder and another water bottle in, just in case.

Feel sort of sad as the last time I did this was getting Cookie and Smudge together. But these two are making things easier; and seeing how much Smudhe has perked up within half an hour..

They are awesome!
I'm so happy you managed to get smudge some company, I'll bet he's so happy! :)

Thanks guys! I was unsure right up to the minute where I signed the forms and took them home with me, simply until the manager let me hold them and snuggle them and that sealed the deal right then.
Smudge is so better; she's been eating ever since they're here, been following them around and just not hiding anymore! It's great!

Just noticed my obvious typo in my previous post (he) :))

One happy family! :luv:

I'm so tempted to go and snuggle them again but I know I need to let the settle in! The pain!

Haha I know! I love watching them explore and settle in though. :D Especially now you have a little trio, they'll be so entertaining to watch. Since I've had four girls I love watching them. Always one of them up to something! :))

Just placed another bowl with nuggets in and then another water bottle in - just in case.

I've still seen no signs of dominance behaviour from Smudge - hell, all I've seen her do since they came home is eat! She's back to her normal self. And it makes me so happy!

I am really pleased for you, it must be such a relief to have Smudge eating again. What a lovely trio and getting on so well together.

That's great news :) Smudge has the light back in her life, and Bramble and Holly are beautiful :) xx
