Bathing Advice?

I have a three month old female and her cage is pretty clean but she is not super clean and is starting to smell. I'm wondering what to do for bathing situations? Any help would be much appreciated. :help:

I was kinda a newbie at this before and I would put my pigs in full baths of water, bathing their whole bodies, which is something you don't necessarily want to do if there's no dirt there. I would turn the bath tub or sink on and run the water over their backs, and I could imagine how scared and terrified they were from the noisy running water pouring on their backs (of course I was oblivious to this at the time). please DONT do what I did lol.

Ive switched to bathing them in a small basin with a very small and shallow amount of warm water mixed with their shampoo. I only wash the belly and butt from their stinky pee and poo and try to avoid the face and back, as excessive water can be drying for their skin. You should gently massage the toosh with the soapy water, change the water for rinsing the soap off, and that should be enough. I always try to towel dry before blow drying with a low setting as the high setting is too loud and scary. I blow dry all the way through until they're completely dry so they wont go back to the cage wet and cold. I also take this opportunity to trim the hair around the butt to keep it from dragging in the pee and poo so I dont have to bath as often, and this is especially important on my long haired pig. Yep, I always bath my piggies in a basin or bowl with just a few inches in. I always put a bit of towel or flannel in the bottom to their feet don't slip. Then with my army of jugs of water, pour it from their hips down. The put a little dot of shampoo on their bottom and scrub it in. Empty the bowl/basin refill with fresh water and towel and then get back to rinsing with water in jugs. If you have a combi tap, where the hot and cold water come out together then you can always get that to a comfortable temperature and just hold your pigs bottom under there.
Just curious, what does your piggy smell of, and is she getting any urine staining underneath at all? It's just that I have never had a 3 month old piggy get so smelly that they need baths.
 
She is just slightly musty/poo smelling but looks very clean and doesn't have any staining. I don't know,maybe that's normal
 
yeah, i was just wondering the possibility of having a urine infection. But if she's not stained and seems nice and happy and active then i'd just presume she's just a messy girl :)
