MommaPiggy
Adult Guinea Pig
I ran out of hay last night. The weather is so bad that I couldn't walk to the local pet shop to get anymore.
I strolled across the road to the corner shop: Costcutter.
They sell small bags of hay and I thought "They can't be that bad." ...Boy, was I wrong!
I grabbed the best sounding one. "Dust extracted. Clean and soft. No odour. Expands 8x the size."
I got it home, opened it up and it stank something fierce. It was a muggy, musty smell...It made me feel like my throat was clogged up. It was horrible.
I cleaned out the litter trays and put fresh hay in them, thinking my boys wouldn't care.
They just stared at it, as if "What are you feeding us?"
Ralph decided to sit in his and sleep...And Arnold just stood there in shock. :{
Nasty stuff!
So for those of you who have a Costcutter in your area...If you're ever desperate for hay...I advise against getting the stuff they sell.
I'd much rather risk wind and rain than buy that cruddy stuff again. pow-pow
