Last night around 12am I heard a couple sneezes from Beans - nothing to panic about. Then after having to get up to seperate her from Toast with a divider (Toast was getting aggressive as shes in quite a strong season and Beans was clearly very stressed with it) I noticed Beans had a slightly wet nose, it wasn't really runny just very slightly. That along with the sneezing I immediately jumped to the worst case senario, URI. But I never heard any more sneezing after the 2 she did last night and this morning her nose seems fine. She has sneezed a couple times this morning but she's pottering about like normal so I don't want to be rushing off to the vet over nothing (especially as they are closed at the weekend so I'd have to pay for out of hours). I'm also thinking it might be that I got a new hay yesterday, but then surely Toast would be sneezing too if it was the hay? Am I over reacting thinking URI at this stage?

I've found one of my pigs is much more sensitive to dusty/new hay than the other -- for the first couple of days, Tubs gets really sneezy but Flubs is absolutely fine. After a bit he's alright though. Perhaps it's worth waiting a little while longer and just keeping an eye on Beans. Have you given them this hay before?

I've got this hay before but I'm actually going to take it back because this bag is very dusty and quite poor quality, dunno if it's just a bad batch. I'll give it a few days and wait until I've changed the hay before I run down to the vets with a URI diagnosis :P
