Hi there. I currently have two guinea pigs, Meatball (aged 1 and a half years) and Popcorn (aged 2 and a half months). I’ve had Meatball since she was 6 weeks old, she was on her own until recently (about a month ago) I got Popcorn. Meatball and I had a really strong bond. She wouldn’t run when being picked up, and she loved to cuddle and be pet. Since I’ve got Popcorn, her attitude has changed. She now runs away when I try to pick her up, and gets very annoyed and angry at me when I pet her. This has been going on for more than two weeks. Has the New Guinea pig changed her attitude towards me? Something is very noticibly different with Meatball since I got her a friend.
They always have a constant supply of water, pellets, hay and fresh veggies twice a day. They each have their own cubby house and their cage is 140cmx70cm.
