So recently I reordered a syringe of BeneBac Plus for my Guinea Pigs because my other one ran out. I accidentally purchased one for birds instead of the original kind. I have placed an order for the kind that they had before just to make sure, but does anyone know if the bird kind would be safe for my pigs? I WILL NOT give them any of this until I am fully advised. I am curious if anyone knows if they just change the label out and it’s the same ingredients though? Its more to return the product than it is worth so I will either keep it if it is safe or try to find a friend with a bird so they can use it. Sorry if this is a dumb question... just wondered if anyone was experienced in the different types of BeneBac?

Any responses will be much appreciated!
 
I am not 100% sure on the different types of BeneBac, it may be worth asking on Guinea Lynx as it has a lot of US members, though we do have some on here. @Freela do you have BeneBac in Canada?
 
I haven't got access to a pc at the moment and my ancient phone struggles with multiple tabs so I couldn't really do it. But if you Google it you can check the ingredients against each other to see if there are any differences.
 
Benebac plus is for use with reptiles and birds only .it has lactic acid in.the manafacture recommends the pet version for rodents.apparently the benebac is dosed for the correct amount for reptiles and birds,not rodents..hope this helps.:)

Yes this helps a ton! I will find a friend with a bird or reptile that I can donate it to
