Adult Guinea Pig
How do you all extract the dust from dusty hay such as alfalfa king timothy hay?
Yes it's broken pieces of the hay and it drives me mad hahaI assume the dust is made of broken bits of hay, not dirt? ReadiGrass always has lots of hay dust and small grass blades at the bottom. I always make these into hay cookies, which the pigs enjoy.
But sorry, I can't help with ideas to extract dust at home - and in any case, it would be a messy business. The machine that's used to extract dust commercially is huge.
Thank you!I put mine in garden colander and give the colander a shake.
