I have to do it every day. She doesn't like it but if I don't it gets REALLY tangled. She's going from her winter jimjams to her bikini bod tomorrow as the weather is hotting up. She'll look like a different piggy! I don't like giving her a grade 4 all over but she'll be a lot cooler.

How is she with clippers? My Rosie 🌈 didn’t like them at all - even trimming her with scissors was interesting, with a big pile of veggies or grass! She’d let me do a few snips, then spin round and leap up on me 😅

She's fine with either a scissors to take off a lot of the bulky hair or trimming with the clippers. I've done it since she was very small (she was 5 months when I adopted her) so she's used to it.
 
After 15 days of Baytril Misty still has a runny nose. I phoned the vet who said to keep going for another week and to update them on Tuesday next week. When I spoke to the Receptionist she said that she doesn't know anyone else who looks after their guinea pigs like I do and she said "if I come back as a guinea pig I want to be one of your guinea pigs cos I know I'll be well looked after and spoilt rotten." Well I can't get more of a compliment than that!

She's too interested in the Ironing Board Salon Snacks to go diving!

An important note to anyone giving their piggies a new furdo. Always place them on the floor NOT a high place where they could jump off and injure themselves if they are not used to having a furdo and/or if they are inclined to jumping.

Saxon wasn't sure what the first Carrot Cottage was as he clearly hadn't had one before. He heard me taking the cellophane of the 2nd one and he was up on his hind legs wanting to get at it before I'd even placed it in the run! He was there immediately starting to devour it. I think they are a hit with him.

Well Misty's URI still hasn't cleared up after 3 weeks of Baytril. I'm collecting some more from the vet tomorrow morning. I had hoped it would clear up as all three of them go to a new Boarder on Thursday. I did my best to clear it before Misty went on holiday at Aunty Sue's.
 
Poor Misty. Well done getting it out.

What a worry for you leaving them with a new boarder. I’m sure they will be fine. 🤞🏻

I've told new boarder that Misty is on long term Metacam and she wasn't phased by that. I'll let her know tomorrow when I drop them off about the URI. Misty is nearly over it. In the crib sheet I give to all new boarders, I've said that the vet wants her to have Baytril for another few days to make sure it's completely cleared. Therefore implying that it's gone (which is very nearly has) and its a belt and braces approach to make sure it doesn't come back. It's not what you say it's how you say it.
