Betsy's lost weight - vet visit Friday

Now I just have to get the weight back on Betsy. She's lost weight since yesterday but only around 10g which could be the difference between a full and empty bladder so I'm not too worried about that. She is still over the 1110g mark which I'm pleased about but still about 100g lower than she should be. I shall be feeding her on Emeraid until I go away tomorrow lunchtime, then again when I get back on Sunday. My piggie sitters wouldn't have a clue about syringe feeding so I can't really ask them to do it. We are only away a from Friday lunchtime until Sunday morning so not long. Hopefully by then she will be starting to gain weight on her own.
 
Well spoke to the vet this morning and she said that Betsy could go in with the others full time now and if she needs a gut stimulant to help the weight go back on I was to ask for it next week! The Metacam has to keep going until Sunday. My Piggie sitters will have to give her 2 doses.

Perhaps something she ate was just slightly past its best, just enough to upset her gut. It's easy to miss little off bits in lettuce leaves etc, or perhaps it was some grass if she had lawn time recently. Glad she is better now though!
 
So glad she's getting better and gaining weight! Jezebel says she has sent Betsy the 110g she's lost using her telepathic piggy powers along with some healing wheeks and carrot thoughts :) Jezzy almost has a bikini bod now and can see her feet!
 
Betsy says that she’s being a bit of a gutsy while you on holiday (while the cats away.. :whistle:...)
So please don’t worry she’ll gain weight for your return.
(Bit like me on returning from any holiday... always seem to return that bit heavier... :)))

Hello Everyone!

My Hooman Slave is really pleased with me. I have put on sooooo much weight since she left Aunty Clare to look after me and my friends just over a week ago.

I got weighed this morning and this is how much I weigh now!

Apparently I haven't weighed this much since 6 Aug. I still have around 50g to go to get to my average weight but I'm getting there!

So glad to hear you are doing well Betsy. Your hooman must be very pleased and will obviously give you extra treats as you have been so good. :hug:
 
Well done Betsy! You need to send Puggle your diet tips, she's 710g after being poorly and she needs to get fat so she can push bossy Clover around :)
