So long story short, j seriously underestimated the amount of hay an extra two piggies would eat over November and December. I bought a new 9kg bag in November and didn't even consider christmas and potentially running out, one minute I had almost a bag full the next it was the short dusty bits at the bottom 🤦🏻‍♀️
I went to order some more before the bag ran out completely, and they're away until the 9th of January! I don't know why I didn't even consider this 😭

I've since purchased a hay from the Range, with dandelion in it, and the pigs are eating it but going to what's left of the timithyhay.co.uk bag

So my plea is, does anyone know of any brands or websites that stock similar quality hay to timothyhay.co.uk, that can see me through until the 9th when they open again?

Try dustfreehay.co.uk and hay-and-straw.co.uk
I believe other forum members use theses and have had good things to say.
I like you am waiting for Timothyhay to reopen soon.
Thank you! I knew there was other websites like it just didn't know what they were called! I'll have a look 😊

hay-and-straw.co.uk. I ordered on Monday and they are delivering today. Their hay is lovely, you can get Ings, a Timothy and rye mix or meadow hay. 9kg is £18 including delivery.

We ended up staying 2 extra days away over Christmas, I ended up having to go to Sainsbury's for hay, was lucky as they only had 2 bags left! Hope you find some somewhere.

I get ings from hay and straw when I run out. (ie when I've not been to the farm shop to get a bale and I don't have time) and it arrives very quick

I contacted timothyhay.co.uk and you can place an order now but may not be dispatched till after Thursday

The 5 a day hay from the range is lovely and it will see you through until you can get your next order. I always get mine from the local farm shop in bales.

Thank you everyone for your responses, whilst I was volunteering today, the hay emergency cam up on conversation with my co-volunteer, she ended up kindly picking me up some of the hay she uses from the farm shop by her mums, and so picked me up a bag whilst she was there, I've picked it up and it looks rather green so will see how this goes. This all happened before I saw that Timothy hay has opened for urgent orders so 😅 Thank you all 💖

I get mine from there and my piggies love it... I stocked up 4 bags before Xmas so I didn't have to go down the retail park over the holidays!
I used to actually give mine this hay a long time ago, back when I still had treacle, but I found it near impossible to get hold off and such an unreliable source in terms of the shop's in my area
