Do you ever go on guinealynx? If you really do need to consider rehoming, you may find an experienced guinea owner near you on guinealynx who can help you. Just a thought. I hope you can keep him though :)

could you send me a picture of the c&c cage and I can have a look to see if I can come with a few design selections for you.

gentle healing hugs to the poor boy, and boys will be boys.

I can try! The issue is that my camera on my tablet doesn't have a flash and they are in the basement with only lamps so it could be hard to see. If it helps, it is 2x4 grid was without a proper lid. We disassembled a previous tiny cage that makes a somewhat unsturdy lid, but it prevents any possible roger escape plots! rolleyes i do realize that the c&c cage is a little small for the 3 of them, but again, space is an issue. But I will try to send pics!

Oh as an update on Piglet, his back is looking a little less inflamed, but still sore obviously. He is eating fine, and is in good spirits. I was cuddling him last night and he started squirming so I put him down in the closed off area where they run, by himself, and he was delighted! He started squeaking and even popped a little! It was great to see. :)

Oh that is lovely to hear. :)

Oh poor Piglet :( but i am glad to hear he is improving. i had a similar thing happen some years back, from his wounds it looks like Piglet was trying to run away, my boy Wicket had tried to fight back and been bitten in the face and had a 1 1/2cm wound that had cut through his lower eyelid and down his face and needed to be stitched up under anaesthetic. i was devastated to find him like that and felt like a terrible owner. as a point of interest both pigs were already neutered.

i hope you and Piglet are both feeling better and you are able to find a happy solution to your dilema

Oh that's terrible! That must have been devastating to find. While I do think what happened to piglet was terrible, i also think he was lucky. He could have potentially lost an eye, a chunk out of his ear, or his life. I agree; he was definitely trying to stay away from him. He is very passive and sweet natured so he must have submitted. If not, it might have been a fight to the death. I defintely feel fortunate. Thank you for your kind words :)
