I'm already feeling stressed about fuzz who's not eating much and isn't herself but then I saw last night blackie has a ring of dry skin around her eye. My friends taking her to the vets soon as I'm at work. Does anyone know if it is ringworm, is it safe to put anti fungal cream near her eye or is it more likely she'll be prescribed oral medication?

She's been to the vet and apparently they said it's not ringworm but I can still try the cream if I want to which doesn't make any sense If it's definitely not ringworm.

Which vet? Hmm, wonder what it could be then🤔

I gave it a quick Google, and it came up with either fungal, or mites

One of my local vets, they're not the best and I'm struggling to get an appointment for fuzz at the cat and rabbit. I was offered an appointment with Patricia.
I'd take Patricia over a local, let me tag @furryfriends (TEAS) . I don't know if Patricia will know some stuff, seems as she works at the clinic with Simon. She might do

I would call cat and rabbit, and be honest with them, and just say, the situation you are in, say you've already tried a local vet that isn't much use, and that you want to be sure that Patricia will have a chance of knowing what's wrong, even if she could have a look and then ask Simon when she next sees him. And then they mite be able to get whatever you need ready for you, and then pick it up when available. It's a ball ache but I can't think what else you could do, other than wait until you can get in with Simon or Kim

The appointment is for fuzz at the cat and rabbit clinic as she's not eating much and is not herself. I would've liked to get blackie seen there too.

Aw, how stressful for you. Perhaps you could ring them and ask if you can bring Blackie along too, it shouldn take long for Simon or Kim to decide if it’s ringworm. Healing vibes for both Fuzz and Blackie x

Is Fuzz seeing Simon? If so take them both! If you can't get an appointment with Simon or Kim, I would see Patricia, as she always asks Simon or Kim's opinion, if she's not sure.
I was offered an appointment with Patricia in the evening but the receptionist said if I need to see Simon then to ring 1st thing to try and get an emergency appointment. Only trouble is I'm supposed to be working tomorrow so I don't know what I should do.

When are you going with Fuzz?

The receptionist advised me to ring at 8 o'clock tomorrow to get a emergency appointment unless you think it's worth seeing if they've still got one with Patricia x
Ideally get an appointment with Simon tomorrow. Ring dead on 8 am though, as they go quickly.

Just took a picture of blackies eye and noticed a bit on top of her head. The vet apparently was scraping the skin around the eye so it's not as noticeable as yesterday. Does this look like ringworm? IMG_20200113_214141.webpIMG_20200113_214218.webp

Obviously we aren’t able to diagnose but on seeing the picture, ringworm would be my first thought. Hopefully you can see Simon or Kim tomorrow. Let us know how you get on

Thanks both, I will. I'm hoping they can fit me in cos I'm really worried about fuzz especially. She's looking really sorry for herself.
