Blackie might have ringworm

Thanks, blackie has got ringworm so won't be using my local vets again. Fuzz is in a lot of pain and it seems to be her kidney so Kim is trying her on sulfratrim and 0.6 metacam twice a day and I've got to carry on with syringe feeding and try making poop soup. If she gets worse then I've got to book her in for an xray x

I knew you'd get answers from Kim or Simon, sorry about the kidney issues. I bet that has made you annoyed with the other vets, any chance you can call and complain and ask for all of you're money back? I know in times like this, it's hard to want to bother though

Actually I am tempted cos that really was a waste of money.

Yea it was, especially selling you cream that they said was for ringworm, and they said it wasn't ringworm. Are you using that cream now you know it is? Or did Kim give you different stuff?

At the very least bad review them on Google.

I’d certainly complain to them about it. It’s sad to think that others might have accepted what they said and the poor animals would then be suffering.

I hope they both get well soon

They had to order it in so it wouldve been ready to collect today. Kim gave me some stuff to give by syringe.

obviously I can’t tell you what to do but I think it’s inadvisable to leave a bad review if it isn’t for treatment/service you’ve received.
 
Sorry about the bad news, hope they both improve now seen some good vets and got the right treatment xx
 
I've booked fuzz in for an xray tomorrow at cat and rabbit clinic as she hasn't improved even on 0.6ml of metacam. I even gave her an extra 0.4ml last night a couple of hours after I'd given her 6ml(as Kim said it is safe to give).I'm very worried about her as she still squeaks in pain when I pick her up and is just sitting in the same spot hiding away. She only eats the odd bit if mint etc. I'm on a 12 hour shift tomorrow so my good friend is taking her for me. I know I'm gonna be panicking all day as I think it's probably kidney stones and there's nothing they can be done about that.
 
Just spotted this. Hope the vet visit went well? Fingers & toes all crossed for a full & speedy recovery for both piggies :wub: xx
