Blodwen starts to meet the family...

Aw, this is great, I’m so glad they are settled. I was beginning to wonder if they would all get on or it would be one of those scenes from Dynasty with all those lovely ladies competing for Theo 😝
 
Puggle and Blod are now snuggled up in a wooden playsticks hidey together. Theo is in a cardboard box with Piggle. Clover and Jezzy are eating hay together...
I bet it all kicks off when I stop watching and go in the other room to clean out the piggy cage!
 
Blod can't quite compete in the salad leaf scatterfeed rugby scrum yet... she got a spinach leaf but when Piggle and Clover started playing tug-of-war with a big piece of watercress she ran away!
I might need 10 food dishes for 6 piggies tonight if Blod's got any chance of getting dinner, seeing as Clover always wants 3 dishes for herself and Theo and Piggle usually sit in one each while eating from another...
 
So pleased to hear everything is going well.
My new boar still can't compete with girls at veggie time (they are very greedy) so I have to hand feed him a few extra bits.
Hope all remains calm. Can't wait to see some photos. x
 
Well it was all going very smoothly until Theo woke up from his afternoon nap.
His tiny male brain had an idea! There are too many ladies to flirt with individually now so... maybe he could round them all up and herd them into a box together then just rumble strut at the box of ladies!
Such a testosterone-fuelled stroke of genius, what could possibly go wrong...?
So there was a very dramatic chase scene reminiscent of Benny Hill. The ladies went round and round the playpen. Theo went after them.
An hour later... Theo is in the box. Alone. Clover is keeping guard... Blodwen doesnt know quite what to make of all this!

Jezzy, Clover and Puggle are exploring the reorganised cage set up. Today we have full length fleece rather than half length, the corner hay trays and wooden house are in different places, there's 3 new fleecy hideys, and a new wine box hay box house :)

Think she's a bit nervous in the big cage she hasnt come out of the hayroom yet! I'm going to add a cage extension but maybe I'll wait until she's confident going in the main fleecy bit we have now... there's plenty hay and 2 hidey houses and a water bottle in the hayroom anyway and I served her dinner in there and lured the main "hyena pack" up the other end of the cage with unexpectedly big dinners :)
