Blood in urine

It is good that you care for him. You are a good owner. I will surely pray for you- you can never have too many prayers!

Thank you I do love this piggie lots. When he was little he became paralysed and they told me to put him down. But thanks to Donna and Castlegarth hotel for guinea pigs she did hydrotherapy on him and he was fine. Since then he has been more attentive like a cat rather than a guide pig he is incredible

How often do I do poop soup? Does it matter what type of poo it is as long as it’s fresh? I’ve discovered he literally poops himself if he thinks he’s going to the vets so the secret is to put him in his cage then in the car to make him think he is ha ha. He is defo eating all his pops which I read is not uncommon
They need to eat their own poops. Not all of them. Just some.its where all the goodness hasnt been taken in the first time round, so they eat the poos. Theres a proper name for it. Someone else will fill me in.poop soup i dont know how often but i dont think you can overdo i. I would just do it after every antibiotic, about 2 hours after

Sometimes its the vibrations from the journey that help them poop. If u have an electric toothbrush you can use the base to massage there tummies. Also i find warm water is good syringed

Smoke loved being on the grass thank you he ate loads. Do I also syringe him CC through the night still? With the vibration therapy where do you put the toothbrush? In the middle or do you run it up and down his tummy?

If he’s still not eating by himself then you’ll need to syringe through the night.Ive no experience with bloat but I would imagine you’d use the back of an electric toothbrush along the belly x

Ok so he’s still here! I’m still syringe feeding him. I have caught him eating some nuggets and hay and he is defo eating his own poo straight from his bum. He will only take water from me and is hardly peeing. He’s pooped roughly 7 small poops a day. He eats loads of grass but now it’s raining I can’t put him out. I give him poo soup twice a day, the probiotic in his water, Zantac and Baytril. Plus vibrate his tummy.

What else can I do? Should I now take him for a scan?

Wilko sell a cardboard tray with grass in it . Like turth with grass. My pigs love it £4

Amazing will go there later
Its fairly dry. I reckon you could water it. But you might need a plastic tray under it. Not all wilko have them, but worth a try. Anyway my guinea pig loves it because she can tare grass from its roots with it. Its more natural

Advise please,
Smoke wouldn’t come out his tunnel yesterday there was a lot of white on his fleece and a spot of blood. I put him on the floor and he had blood in his urine. I took him straight to the vet she gave him antibiotics and she told me to keep an eye on him as he is really alert. When I hug him he wants to jump up for lots of hugs. He is eating but not drinking so I’m syringing him water. I’ve noticed that he is not really possibly ping now though. What do you think?
I think that a period

I took him to the specialist today as was worried he was hardly pooping still. I’m so glad I did he did an X-ray and even took me to the room and explained it. He has gas on one side and some blocked food on the other. He has given him some more injections and three new medicines to give him. I had to drive an hour to the vets and saw a pub by it so I took Smoke to the beer garden and had a picnic with him whilst he ate grass ha ha. He loved it!

Sorry now I don’t know what to do. He got better was told to just keep giving emperid until after the weekend. He had risen in weigh to almost 1kg now he’s shot down to 900g. He is picking and choosing what he’s eating but he is eating both hay parsley and cucumber. He is drinking but his poops are getting smaller again. It’s bank holiday and I only want to spend the money on the specialists. Any advice?
