Bonding babies and adults

Recently my older guinea pig has passed away leaving my 1 year old lonely and just not quite herself. I now have 2 new 12 week old babies. They are currently in cages side by side to get used to each other but I was wondering how people were introducing 3 pig together at the one time and does anyone have any tips for when this happens?

Put them all together in a neutral place where no pig has gone. A pile of hay in the middle and no hides. Have you checked that they’re sows and not boars?

That exactly what I was thinking but started to doubt myself. Yes definitely all sows. Thanks for your reply.

If they are all sows then I’d prepare a neutral bonding area with hay and nowhere that any pig can get trapped. Once you are satisfied that they have accepted each other then move to a freshly cleaned cage with again nowhere that any pig can be trapped (all houses need 2 exits) and then allow them to settle. The guides linked above give good details of what you can expect to see.
