I’m absolutely gutted, Lottie and Lion weren’t compatible.
My friend showed up with Lionhearted in her arms for me to try him out with the 2 little girls (Their not little.. I’m not sure why I still call them that lol).
I laid out a blanket and popped them all down. All was going really well, friends had to leave quite quick as they had an appointment. So I sat on the floor with a coffee and watched them for an hour or so. The was only one little rumble strut and a quick hump. But other than that they were all happy exploring and making friends.. I thought.
But then once I put them away in the freshly cleaned and extended cage, Lottie and Lion were at each other, Lottie was really going for him. They were crashing against the bars at one point, and I even saw fur flying
Emily and Lottie stayed ‘upstairs’ for the rest of the afternoon too scared to come down. And when Lottie did, She and Lion were just rumblestrutting or having a go at each other.
I decided to give up and walk him back up to their house
Lion was really enjoying his new potential home, he loved the hay tray, had about 6 drinks in half an hour. And loved sitting on the comfy fleece stuff. And I was looking forward to giving him a bath and trimming his hair.
Now he’s back out in the cold and wind, in his little cage with 3 others.
I’m really disappointed it didn’t work. What a shame.
