Junior Guinea Pig
We have just adopted 3 new girls that needed homes. One crested ruby-eyed beauty and two lovely skinny pigs. One skinny pig (Merry) and the furry one (Machalka) are doing really great, no rumblestrutting, nipping or anything. The third one (Pippin) though seems to be in season actually - she is humping and chasing and annoying the others quite a bit. Otherwise the bonding seems to be going well, but I'm worried that her being in season might ruin it since she is so fierce and hormonal right now and I'm afraid to leave them together in their cage throughout the night, but on the other hand don't want to separate them, because then they would have to start the bonding all over again in the morning. We had to make the cage a little bit smaller than we initially had it too (though it is still a 4x5 cc cage, should be plenty of room for 3 pigs?). What should I do? I really don't want to separate, but I don't want them to have a fight when I'm sleeping.
