Long story short Scottish Water burst some pipes near my house and now our tap water is cloudy and not really suitable for drinking, especially for the piggies.

Would I be okay to boil the water in the kettle and give it to them once it's cool or would bottled water be better? But then isn't some bottled water high in calcium? :hmm:

I have heard that you shouldn't use "mineral water " . Some bottled waters are particularly prized for their mineral content .

(I know some people filter tap water - particularly if they live in a hard water area ).

If the water company has advised boiling for humans , I would do the same for your guinea pigs too.

I just got Highland Spring water because they need some now and it'll take a while to boil and cool in the kettle. That.water doesn't appear to be "mineral water"..

Bottled water will be fine while you are waiting for the water company to sort it out.
