Boy Or Girl?

hi I've had my guinea pig for a year and I'm just now learning about the intricacies of taking care of your piggie. I thought he was a boy but we looked and we thought it was a girl but I looked again and I really think he's a boy but none of are too sure. can someone help me gender Finn, please?

Hi!

I would think boy, especially as there is evidence of testicles, but there are two areas you can check yourself:
- have a look at the slit. Sows have a fleshy arrangement that seals it just on the inside of it whereas boars go straight down into the anal sac.
- boars have a penis ridge under the skin just above the button on the belly side; sows are totally flat in that area. You should be able to express the penis when you gently press down just next to the ridge.

Sow slit inside; you can see that that the opening is sealed with fleshy flaps unless a sow is in season.
