Bruno- Large Intestinal Mass- Not looking good :(

:agr: with @Swissgreys - I firmly believe that people and animals come into our lives for a reason. Bruno found his way to you Ruth, so that he could have the most wonderful love and care of your human comapany and the companionship of his own kind. He’s had this amazingly precious time with you and your herd. I hope he will have longer, but if he doesn’t then he’s had the kind of tlc that many piggies never get to receive. I’m sending you both love and hugs. He knows he’s loved xx
So sorry to see this news. Could this have stemmed from the post neuter abscess he had back in May? I know it didn't respond well to antibiotics at first.

Thank you. I did speak to the vet about this and he thought if it had been an abscess then it's unlikely to be related. Given it's jagged and uneven edges and odd shape though the vet is positive it isn't an abscess too.

I really hope he improves overnight x

So sorry to hear about Bruno. :(:(

This reminded me of my Timmy. We adopted him in 2014 and after being with us 2 months, he suffered from recurring bloat. We had seek so many different vets and emergency appointments until we found Birch Heath in Chester, which was an exotic vets. They were clueless as what was wrong with him and we gave them permission to operate on him to find out what really was the problem (they were our last resort since we've tried everything and we were really prepared for the worst outcome). Turns out he had complications with his neutering (he was done a couple of months before we adopted him from RSPCA). He suffered a hernia and it was blocking everything. His intestines got into the hole where the testicles were supposed to be and it wasn't stitched up to be closed (Not really sure if that was a normal procedure or not). But his intestines were so stretched out from the ordeal for so long and they had to try their best to fix it. We took him home after the operation that same day but he passed away at around 11pm that same night (he started to get bloat again he passed away while I was holding him in front of the 2 sows we had that time). He was only with us for 4 months but we've already loved him too much in such a short time. :(:(

Let us now how Bruno gets on overnight Ruth. I know how you feel, I nearly had to make that decision with Christian 3 weeks ago.

Thank you all. I will let you all know how he gets on during the night. I really do appreciate all your support xx

Oh, I am so sorry to be reading this. Poor little Bruno. I am so glad that he has had some relief from the painkillers and is much more settled.

We will be keeping everything crossed here for you. I know how hard it is to sit with a poorly little one all night. I really hope he rallies round. He certainly know how much he is loved and you are right the past 10 weeks with you will have been the best ever.

You can do it little man x

Just to echo everyone else's words about your loving care meaning so much at the time when he needed it, however short. You were there for him.
