Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone can suggest anything.
My 4 year old sheltie has bumble foot on 3 paws which started after a kidney stone removal and has had nearly 2 months worth of painkiller and antibiotics now following the removal but the vet told me to carry on this treatment as he was still losing a little bit of blood in his wees and because of the sudden onset of sore feet. His eating has been up and down but I've been giving him critical care 5 times a week however he is still losing weight.
The vet has advised me to give him Epsom salt baths everyday followed by sudaream. But this is not helping. I am changing his bedding everyday which are soft fleeces and addin a vitc probiotic to his critical care. I am currently waiting for gorgeous guineas f&m ointment to arrive as I'm at my wits end. I feel like he's not recovered well from his kidney stone removal although the past 4 days he hasn't lost any blood in his wees. I'm at the vets every fortnight with him seeing a rodentologist who I do rate highly.
Has anyone else had a similar problem? I really don't want him to have to have his legs amputated
thanks x
