A lady in pets at home said they are expecting a shortage of Burgess Excel pellets as their packaging machine has broken. They think they've got enough until December.
I don't want to start a panic buy, but equally don't want anyone to suddenly run out!
I'm going to get one extra packet in just in case.

Buy the biggest bag instead

I've just this minute emailed Burgess to ask what's happened as two local PetsatHome and a Pets Corner doesn't have any.

I had trouble finding any Harrington’s pellet last week. They have just started to stock them in my local Morrison’s. Because they had an offer on them they just sold out as soon as they got on the shelves. Ended up driving down to Asda 6 miles away, amazing what we do the our piggies!

Got two bags just in case!

I used to buy my harringtons from Wilko but they've replaced it with their own brand :( Thankfully my local pet shop sells it but it's nearly £4.50 a bag

My piggies have got plenty of pellets but the bunny on the other hand....better get myself out tomorrow and see if I can get some for him as he only eats excel....he may have a shock coming to him if I can’t get them!

Yes, I think it was only about £3 odd. I'm so disappointed they've stopped selling it
I know I used to get it from there when I visited or I was buying from them online as it worked out about the same as a 10kg bag which I normally get. With 5 piggies to feed a 2 kg bag doesn't last very long!

I used to buy 10kg sacks when I had four piggies. It always worked out cheaper

I used to get Harrington’s from Wilco but they don’t have it anymore, what’s going on ".... you can’t get it a pets at home either

Has anyone tried Mr Johnson’s guinea pig muesli mix, I mix a bit in the Harrington’s as my boys have still not been properly ween off the “guinea pig crack” and can be a bit sulky if you just give them pellets.

It has small bits of dried veg in it, I’ve never seen this before, they love it, so it’s probably not good for them!

Uh oh! I really hope we’ll still be able to get some!

The pets at home own brand is going to be low in stock for the next couple of weeks too (All bag sizes)
