Are you having trouble posting pics? You should be able to...

Have you tried uploading your photo to www.photobucket.com and copying/pasting the IMG tag into your message?

You should just be able to paste the IMG code directly into your post, no need to use any buttons etc. - have you tried pasting the code directly into your message and seeing if the picture shows?

yeah tryed this but it just comes up with load of writting will try and post now to show you bet it wor<a href="http://s932.photobucket.com/albums/ad166/clairelove_photos/?action=view&current=DSC03560.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i932.photobucket.com/albums/ad166/clairelove_photos/DSC03560.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>ks now :))

Try a different code - the one that has just the IMG tags. It will read something like [ IMG ] http://...... [ / IMG ]

But without all the spaces! The one you posted is the HTML code, for when you are making websites. Using the link included in the code you posted, and putting the IMG tags around them, it should work as such...

Glad to hear that Ralphie is out of the woods, so to speak. Hope you find him a fantastic lady friend after what he has been through. Thankyou for putting your vets contact number on here, the cavy savy vet I used in Newcastle-*- lyme has moved on at the moment so I can't get to see her. She is hoping to open her own practice soon, fingers crossed, cos she is so good with guineas. Sending vibes to Ralphie for a speedy recovery.

:...:...this op site is doing my head in i have just got ralphie out of his cage to give him his baytril and he has bit his stitches out there is a hole now with all green rubbist in but its not ozing out its just there..i dont know if this is a good thing as it may drain the rubbish out if it builds up again ..going to go back the vets 2moz again i think...all this so he can have a g/friend:...

It is a case like this that shows the problem that can occur post operatively and which, yet again, raises the question, is neutering an essential operation?

I'm so terribly sorry to hear this...........just caught up.......Please give Ralphie loads of loves and healing wheeeeeeeks from us all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Don't blame yourself for putting him though the surgery! I have a neutered boy and I think you wanted to have him fixed so that he could live a good life with a girl. I see how much my guinea pigs enjoy living as a mini herd and they just couldn't if he wasn't fixed... If the boy doesn't go well together with another boy then neutering is the only option really. At least in Sweden it's against the law to keep guinea pigs alone.

And no, I guess the operation isn't essential, as in life preserving, but for a lonely boy I think it's definitely life enhancing. We all make the decisions we think are best for our babies.

Lots of weeks and imaginary cucumber from us in Sweden! We will be thinking about you!

Sending my love to poor Ralphie!

hi i have been the vets this morning with ralphie and the new additions as one was close to death last night but this morning he was still here..first ralphie has another abscess on the other side and had a reaction to the stitches the vet said as long has he is eating and pooing and weeing fine they dont want to drain it again he is on 10days of baytril and probiotics the vet said this should get better soon and not to put anything onto it has it needs to dry up but he seems very well considering..
now for the new babies one mum has no milk or very little but the other one has a lot more so she has to feed both littlers has they are together anyway i have to bottle feed the 3 smaller babies with a kitten bottle and cow and gate baby milk but a little more watered down so they dont get bunged up i am weeing and pooing them as well and they are feeding off the mums in between..the very weak one has picked up very much and is walking around now...is there any better milk to feed baby guineas other than baby milk i have goats milk in is this any better?

I think goats milk is generally easier to digest than cow's milk, but not sure how close it is to guinea milk, sorry! But lots of hugs to Ralphie, and good luck with all of those babies!:)

hi he seems ok still got the abscesses on the left side where it was drained gone down a little but on the other side it is still hard and round lump the vet sez just Carrie on with the antibiotics..spoke to a lady last night who did runs a rat rescue and she did a course with the lady who runs i think the Cambridge cavy trust and she said as he is 3yrs old increase him baytril from 0.2.5mls twice a day to 0.4mls twice a day and told me to put him on hepar sulphur table just one in his water per day to get rid of the puss in the abscesses...
