see, i don't mind daddy long legs, i can pick them up and chuck them out the window but any other sort i can't touch... even scarier than spiders was the time i had maggots - yes maggots coming out of the ventilation vent thingy above the bath.... I freaked out BIG TIME.... Other half was out i had to stand on a chair and cover the vent with some paper and tape !! The bathroom had to to be closed that evening ( we have another ) ... it was the most gross thing ever... and even now when i have my bath i always look up to see if there is anything :yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes:

Don't mind spiders as long as they are not in my room or what I'm eating:)) But wasps now that's a different matter:yikes:

Oh you'd better hope they are pleasant! I don't live so far away from you that I won't march right over and whup you one! OK it will be a long march but that image deserves some kind of retaliation! :)
 
If you dislike spiders keep conkers in your house in parts they invade.

They hate the smell.

Conkers contain a naturally-occurring substance called saponin, which repels spiders, lice, fleas and ticks.

my daughter has placed conkers in strategic places around the house :D

Gosh, not exactly sure how the categories work, but it was sort of small to medium sized (much bigger than a money spider), and black. Could have been a lot worse though - could have been one of those huge hairy beasts! This is my second encounter with a spider in a towel - I am going to start getting a complex about it.

Sounds like a Category 2 to me.... how many segments to body? If I can't catch a category 2 it is not the end of the world unless they violate the bedroom rule. Category 3's however need to be removed else I would have to sell the house....
 
My mum always used to pick them all up with her bare hands and put them out the windows to show us they were nothing to be scared of, so me and my siblings all do that. I remember getting to school and picking up a spider and all the kids thought I was some kind of superwoman :)
