Hey! It’s been a minute.

My two girls Miso and Tonkotsu are adjusting well. However, I’ve recently discovered that they’ve chewed a hole in the canvas side cover of their cage! It’s at the divider in the middle of the cage underneath their hammock where they like to hide and sleep. I don’t really care about stopping the behavior unless it’ll hurt them - they haven’t chewed on the outside lining and if they want a second doorway through the divider I can move the wire so they can get through. I just want to know if the hole they’ve made in the canvas means they’ve eaten it and, if so, if it’s harmful. I have the Midwest with middle divider and ramp.

If they have eaten it, they should be fine but just keep an eye on them for a day or two.

I once had a piggy who ate a draw string with no ill effects
It’s a big hole and I assume they’ve been working on it for a while. They’ve been absolutely fine, no lethargy or change in appetite or anything.
