Just use normal good hygiene (and washing) and don't cuddle with your piggies. Guinea pigs don't catch the cold virus; their respiratory problems are bacteria based.

They flatten it and pee and poop in it instantly, and I can't use a hayrack because my cage can't use one (no mesh walls) and they wont use it. I can't attach a water bottle either because of no mesh, just flat wooden sides. The more I give, the faster they flatten it and once it's flat, they wont eat it.
