I think I might have a cold or something, but everyone in the house is sick, what do I do? My guinea pigs need new hay every few hours!

You have to wash your hands before and after touching their food. Guinea pigs don't catch colds off humans, but to avoid any contamination do not pick them up until your cold has cleared. Piggies shouldn't eat all their hay every few hours, are you giving them enough?

Just use normal good hygiene (and washing) and don't cuddle with your piggies. Guinea pigs don't catch the cold virus; their respiratory problems are bacteria based.

They flatten it and pee and poop in it instantly, and I can't use a hayrack because my cage can't use one (no mesh walls) and they wont use it. I can't attach a water bottle either because of no mesh, just flat wooden sides. The more I give, the faster they flatten it and once it's flat, they wont eat it.
