COVID-19 Coronavirus

Vice President Pence just announced we are leveling off with not too many new cases being reported.
Over 9000 Americans died of COVID-19 and over 4000 of them are New Yorkers.
New York is a great place to live if you don’t mind living in very tight spaces with many people living very close by.

Heard today that my brother, sister-in-law and nephew have all developed Covid-19 symptoms.
Must admit to feeling concerned although I feel sure they will be ok.
Sending lots of love mate x Hope they recovery well and quickly

I have just seen about Boris too.

Local NHS trust has announced that although there has been 5 more deaths, so that is now 14.... they have released another 4 patients after treatment to continue recovery at home.

It's a balance isn't it. Get a positive and negative at same time.

President Trump was talking about Boris Johnson today wishing him the best. He said a couple of brilliant teams are working to save Boris.
Best of luck to him.

It's a clothing warehouse they say they've enforced social distancing and are only going to be open for essential children and baby clothes

Week 4 has begun.... any one else starting to feel penned in?!
Not particularly as I work from home anyway so doesnt feel much difference - apart from the kids being home and me not being able to pop out when i want a few bits from the shops..... which is usually 4 times a week!

I'm not coping too bad to be fair. This is the longest I've been off work for years though so I'm trying to keep some form of daily routine, however basic.

Still limiting social media & is doing me so much better. Arguments about lock down ending have been rife on facebook for days now!

All ok here in Switzerland too.
This is week 5 for us, with a big announcement on the next steps expected tomorrow.
Oddly enough I think the kids are actually dealing with the whole 'being at home all the time' thing better than I am!
We are lucky that the weather has been amazing and we have a small garden, so spending lots of time outside reading and having meals in the sunshine definitely helps.
Plus lots of piggy cuddles.

Me too.I havent been off work since 2013 (I am self employed) so this feels strange but I'm coping ok. You are right-a routine of sorts is quite important for mental health I think

So a further 3 week extension on the lockdown. Today we invited my mum to come live with us as she has been self isolating for 4 weeks today and it is obvious the impact this is having on her mental and emotional health. We will pick her up over the weekend (she lives just down the road) so at least she will have some company. Also with hubby back working (from his home office) it will be good to have a hand with baby, doggo, piggies and housework especially if we have more grizzly days like today where Jessica won't let me put her down for more than 5 mins
