Junior Guinea Pig
Hi guys,
I have 2 boars and when I got back this evening, the roof of their ground level c&c cage had fallen in and the side was subsequently open. One of my boys were inside the cage still but the other one had ran out and I found him behind my chair, the one that got out is the one with this cut on his back. I can’t tell if it’s a bite from his (usually less dominant) brother or if it’s an injury he’s gotten from escaping. I’ve washed it with saline solution (the type you get given after a piercing) and it’s not got free flowing blood, it’s not soaked into his fur or anything like that, doesn’t seem swollen or deep but I am absolutely able to take them both to a vet tomorrow. I’ve separated them for now as when I initially put him back in the cage with his brother their body language was stiff and defensive/aggressive.
I’m just looking for guidance and opinions on this situation please.
