COVID-19 Day 1 of Remote Working

Hub and I have been running his business with me filling at need like you until his retirement, so I am not bothered either but those experiences come in handy now. Thankfully my current part time job is also run from home...

But it is much harder without that experience and if you are very much an extrovert and not an introvert.
I used to be an extrovert before I moved to the UK. I've been working since I graduated from uni, so I was always on the go. I was even worried that time that I would go crazy living in a small village in the country side! 😂😂 Good thing we got piggies to entertain me after we got married (hubby's last piggy past away around 7 months before I moved here). And having fast internet is a great advantage too. 😁

Day 3 of remote working here: piggy daddy told me there's no prosecco on the shelves in Asda, its the proseccopalypse! Probably all the uni students celebrating that final exams have been cancelled... no prosecco... I have toilet rolls and a wide range of foodstuffs both hooman and piggy, but a wine shortage would really impact my ability to work effectively from home...!
Try LIdl or Aldi for wine/Prosecco. OH went into Aldi in Basingstoke today and got 6 bottles of wine and 12 cans of Fosters.

Its not that I've run out of wine... yet... but wine and hay are the 2 items I'm slightly stockpiling, not buying out the shop crazy but just buying a bit extra and before we run out, just in case...! Also vegan milk substitutes, not just for me but my 5 year old nephew who also has a dairy intolerance, vegan milk is like gold dust in the shops but piggy daddy brought 3 boxes home today (plus some cava, sauvignon blanc and rose wine, which at a stretch I may subsist on for a while, instead of vegan milk which I will donate to my little nephew :) )

You don't go crazy with prolonged social isolation, it's a complete myth, wibble.

Anyway I have a roommate, Wilson.

Day 3 of remote working

I have cleaned the whole house.

Twice.

You're welcome to come and clean mine then - once will be enough, thanks. We'll take a board game and a crate of cider into the outbuilding while you do it , got to keep up the social distancing!

:) Just imagining you and @sport_billy trying to play Monopoly over Skype.
I don't think our broadband is up to a lengthy game of monopoly over skype, with sport_billy or anyone else!
Perhaps Diplomacy would be a better bet, we might just be finishing when coronavirus isolation is allowed to be relaxed!

:)) :)) I am actually trying to find board games to play with my group over zoom and Skype seems to be co-ops is the way as no hidden info

I've just been out to get essentials from the shop before the weekend and was shocked to see the bars/cafes etc full.

This was after my neighbour and I had a coffee (we each brought our own) 2 metres apart in her garden.....with a guinea pig for entertainment.

I do wish folk would stay home and stop socialising in bars and cafes.
I was shocked to see an acquaintance on FB eating out in a restaurant today saying “sod you Covid...” and then going to a pub and openly stating that they were rebelling.

My mum’s the cook in a pub in our town centre and has been pretty dead, but a couple of the pubs have been chockablock (not serving food!) when she’s left to go home, the ones with all the old regulars in that can’t go a day without!
B and m has loads, just been there, also they have loads of Timothy hay in so got a few bags, and just got my first ever hay box Timothy delivery earlier. Nice quality 👌
None in mine as my mum checked for me earlier. Got some ordered from elsewhere but piggies love that, got a bit in but not much!

I’m kinda used to all this social distancing etc after a few years of it, funny how you can be so lazy when you’ve got jobs to do but watching pigs and fish while sitting on the sofa in your pjs is far more important and it seems like hard work doing other stuff! :doh:Hope everyone else isn’t going too stir crazy! You’ll get used to it after a while!:))

I realised Haybox is no different to alfalfa King Timothy hay. Same quality same green

Ness. Can you get that?

No idea! I’ve got some Burgess dried grass and some ordered from VetUK where I’ve got pellets coming from. Zooplus had nothing, thankfully 6kg of the ladies cat food though! And an extra 4 days shipping on top of usual because of so many orders! I’ve been getting Readigrass and hay etc from Time for Paws too but they’re not even taking orders!

So annoying isn't it😱

Yup! Can normally get a bit of everything with having fish, cats and pigs needing random stuff but nope! Did order fishy stuff yest and it got delivered by DPD a little while ago though! So at least the fish and snails can have clean tanks after all my drama recently!(my catfish have all gone after an unknown illness!:( Only 5 Rainbowfish in my 30 gallon tank running for 12yrs!:()

I must say I would actually enjoy staying at home for 2 weeks. Providing I had food and toilet paper 😂
I thought that as I have loads of hobbies. It feels a lot different when it’s imposed or you feel it’s the best thing to do. I hope you get some time for yourself but obviously not if it’s because you get ill

Exacty. Hobbies, family, pets, chill on the garden.... Sounds like a good time, if no plague is involved...
