De burats

No recent pigtures but old boy Toff seems to have grown some grey hairs on his nose. He’s still loving life bless him.

I’m a bit worried he will run to the rainbow while we’re away. I really hope he doesn’t 😢

He loves a good stroke and a scratch on his right chin. Really leans into it 😍

Chanel has also developed a liking for a good scratch. The other day I was doing something and she stayed there and let me stroke her for a while! This is the girl who, at the beginning, favoured my husband and didn’t like even being stroked on her head! 😍😍

Zac is Zac. He now comes to me/my daughter to get his morning lettuce leaf and pick something from the cup for dinner. Still screams like he’s being murdered when I take him out but at least he’s less wriggly. I’ll try and get some pics.

I had a bad dream last night which had me waking up worried. I dreamt Toffee and another unknown piggy had crossed over the rainbow. They were laying next to each other with a third piggy munching on hay in the same sleep area!

When I went to give them their breakfast, Toffee was busy bar biting - probably because I was a little late with breakfast! Later on (for my peace of mind), I went out to check on them again. He was in a deep sleep but he woke and I had a quick cuddle. I rewarded him (them) with some grass.

It’s horrible when you dream something like that. I’m pleased Toffee was ok, if a little cross.

I’ve dreamt before where I go downstairs to find mini Fudges and pups running around in the girls cage. Somehow I had sows in with intact boars. Those didn’t worry me because the chances were extremely unlikely! This one was a bit too real. I’ve been worrying about Toffee leaving us. Maybe it’s getting ready for the holiday that triggered it. I’m worried that he could pass away when we’re not here ☹️

I’m sure he will be fine. Like you say, you’re probably anxious about going away. I hope you enjoy your break. Where are you going?

Thank you. I’m sure I will and the lady where they’re going is absolutely fabulous. I trust her with my piggies almost as much as I trust myself.

We’re going to Uganda to see family.

I hate dreams like that 😞 I’m glad Toffee is fit and well. Have a great holiday. My friend and his wife are currently in Uganda visiting her family. Least you’ll have nicer weather there x
Do you know whereabouts they are? I’ll be glad of the nice weather, this dull weather is a hard going. I’m trying not to overthink everything! Mainly my son and it’s been a while since I’ve travelled with all children. It’ll be fine 😊

Thank you all. I’m trying not to stress and instead enjoy the build-up. I drop the piggies off on Monday. Going to be fun catching Zac 😵‍💫

They’re in Kampala. Don’t overthink things, you’ll be fine 😊 Just keep focusing on the nice weather you’ll be greeted with and seeing your family x

I dropped the piggies off at the boarder this morning. I am not worried because I know they’re in very good hands. They’ll have a whale of a time there. My worry is Toffee passing away but I know that’s a little silly!

I’m also worried about how extremely skittish Zac is and doesn’t seem to like being out of his home. He struggled a little when I got him out the hutch (always expect this). I brought them in early because I didn’t want to struggle with him last minute. In the time they were inside the house waiting in their carriers, he didn’t eat any hay. He just sat there.

I felt sorry for him and kept apologising to him while I took him out and on the drive down. I know he prefers human interaction to be kept to bare minimum and I respect that. Hopefully this won’t have set us backwards when he comes home. He’s been coming up to the door to get his breakfast leaf and dinner.

Anyway, I’m glad I found this boarder.

I’m sure they will all be fine.
Go and have a wonderful time in Uganda, enjoy the time with your family.
Safe travelling.

Tessy is the same. No place like home ... and if you think it's necessary to touch me, think again.
I'm sure Zac will be fine.
I hope that you'll have a great trip!.

Your piggies will be fine. Enjoy seeing your parents and try and enjoy the loooooooooooooooooooong plane ride as much as you can.

Holiday was absolutely fabulous! We’ll definitely have to do the same again, maybe in two years’ time.

Unfortunately Toffee went to join Fudge two weeks ago. Still a hard pill to swallow but he gave us plenty of years filled with fun and love. I hope he felt loved.

Oh no I'm so sorry Siikibam. I'm sure Toffee knew he was well loved by you all and he's munching grass in lush meadows with Fudge as we speak.

Sorry that your lovely holiday ended in the loss of Toffee. He knew how much he was loved and has taken it with him to the Rainbow Bridge.
