Digby Has A Lump :(

Haha thanks Kath. I don't think Digby has a secret, he just isn't bothered by anything lol!

Just caught up with this thread. Sorry you’ve had such an anxious dat but glad Digby’s lump isn’t anything to worry about.
I’m not surprised by all the attention- he is such a lovely piggy

I'm worried about the surgery and hoping the lump won't get worse before then. It needs to be removed though, so it's for the best.

Totally natural mate, and is the worst part of having pigs when they are poorly and need operations :( Just get yourself prepared for him coming home with syringe feed etc.... We always ask the vet for gut stims so you can keep his tummy moving after his operation. And always make sure the vet has gave you pain relief for at home too. Digby has a great mom to look after him x

I have everything prepared in my head, thanks Lee . I've checked my medical kit to make sure I have plenty of syringes and I am sure my vet will give me pain relief without asking. I will definitely ask the vet about Emeprid as well. I have a plan in my head for sectioning off some space for him to recover next to his ladies too. I just hope it doesn't get bigger so that the op stays small.s

I know there are still anxious times ahead with him undergoing surgery, but it’s reassuring that the vet believes it’s a benign lump. Let’s hope it stays small and trouble free.

If it helps, my Cissy recently had a mammary tumour removed which was enormous. She sailed through it and barely even noticed anything was going on! I'm sure Digby will take it in his stride :)
