Few questions...
I have just been over and collected 4 'boys' from a lady in this area. She said they were 3 1/2 weeks old, they look older than that to be (but not sure as not weighed them yet)
Anyway she said that she had a blind one too a female. I said I would take her if she wanted and she said she was going to keep her with mum. All good I though. She then said she had a blind male from one of her sows previous litters. Turns out her sow has had FIVE litters since November.
I had a chat with her about the dangers for the sow and she said it was her plan to keep the boys together and the girls together, she hoped that mum wasn't already pregnant and hoped she didn't make any mistakes.
I have come home and it's 3 boars and a sow.
Now I have put her in the run with Daisy and Sweep and will try them in the cage together but what if it doesn't work out?
And how will I sleep thinking about this mum? I have text her saying one was a girl and that I would happily take mum and blind daughter which would leave her with the 2 boys and to have a think about it. Ideal world she would see that mum and other baby would be better off here. Fingers crossed.
Now I can give new sow Molly an adjoining temporary smaller cage and I'm sure something will work out for her but really the thought of the poor mum is really getting to me...
