.. natural things aswell? for example, could 4 veggies be leafy greens and then one thing be something like apple twigs and leaves?
or would natural things be in addition to veggies? and could the amount of veggies be lowered slightly if natural things are fed aswell?
just wondered because ches and maisie only have leafy greens and herbs for their veg so i don't want to overdo these. i give 4 a day (2 in the morning and 2 in the evening) and try to rotate daily/every couple of days if i can.
i'm just struggling a bit with veg at the minute as alot seem to be not great quality and all the mixed bags are awful lately so i'm finding it hard to rotate as much as i'd like.
they eat loads of hay, they love lots of types, they have grass when it's dry/when i grow it, and a small amount of pellets at night before bed (vet said no pellets but i still feed a small amount at the minute) they also have dried herbs aswell which they love.
the 'only leafy greens' and 'no/limited pellets' is on the vets advice and i am very happy with it as ches and maisies condition has improved so much, and the difference in their fur is great. just incase anyone wondered about the only leafy greens thing. the vet recommends this to everyone, but especially in ches and maisies case as sugary/fat veg (carrot, peppers, babycorn etc) made chesney gain alot of weight, and also set maisies tummy off, as did anything gassy like cabbage, cauli and broccoli. so alot of things got ruled out anyway.
sorry for all the questions! :red my posts always seem to get so long! :red
