I'm close to Newark but I think my husband would have a fit if I took two more. Perhaps I could become a rescue! How would I do that? :o

Well Mandy (maxthepig) took in Max, neutered him, and then got two girls off this forum, bonded them together and now they're living a life of Riley with Niki as Albie, Lottie and Maddie :) You don't need to do it large scale as every pig rescued is one less living in horrid circumstances. I'm planning to do something like this too

Bless you for that Kathryn - I am well & truly their slave too ;D ;D

;D

Hello
Ive been away this weekend, so only just seen this.

It seems all sorted now? :)

I think Bill and Ben are/were listed on guineapigrehome
Mandy

Yes they are on guinea pig rehome Mandy. I emailed this woman ages ago cos I was going to take them. She never got back to me so I got two other rescues last week. Then she emailed saying she had been on holiday and I wanted to do something. She said she just wants them out of her hair and that they're boring (?) for her son cos they don't do anything. I'm so pleased shez is having them!

Ok I will pick them up this weekend as I'm going through Newark. I'll keep them at mine - will anyone take them from me?
The woman did sound desperate & seemed to think that a time was arranged to get them picked up...communication breakdown I think!

If anyone is looking for a home for some piggies I have the space and 2 spare hutches if youre desperate,i would go to the Kirkby rehoming one but its getting there and back seein as mum doesnt drive and dads at work most of the time

and I'm in nottingham if that helps

Sars I am desperat to rehome 2 boys I have here in nottingham & can drop them to you -
The Newark boys would have to be after the week end.....PM me if your interested

Well I was hoping that if someone still wanted them I could pass them on. I did have another problem with my drains which meant that the garden needed to be turned upside down & because of this B&Q needed to find a home PDQ but I have sorted the drains & Sars has taken B&Q today.
I don't mind holding on to the pigs for as long as needs be but I'm having a few 'marital issues' at the moment & can't really have any more long termers here. Could have them for a couple of weeks/month.
B&Q had spent too long being wasted here thats really why they needed a new home.

My head is a shed today so if you can make head or tail of what i've written can someone please explain to me? ::)

-drags you into pm-

I managed to speak to the woman last night - I will be picking these two up on saturday late afternoon.
I have had 2 offers of a home now which is fantastic.
I'll give the boys the once over - nails -Ivomec - bath maybe etc and see where we stand with them. I have a horrible feeling that they may not be in too good shape. (she;s had them for 3 years & doesn't know which is Bill & which is Ben).
Anyway she's doing the right thing & more importantly the pigs will be getting the care they need.

I'm a bit worried as one sounds like a bronze agouti :-*

whats up with bronze agouti's,is it bad news?

thats cruel, a puppy is more easily sold then older guinea pigs. i would always rehome the new pet than an older one.  :'( thats just mean! one hes been in the family 4 longer, and two when a puppy gets to a home every1 marches up to adopt him and older piggies are unlucky finding homes.

They've been picked up & delivered. They are nice big pigs but may have a bit of a fungal or mite problem - surprise surprise- due to the lack of hair on their back >:( anyway as I carry Ivomec in my bag they have been Ivomec'd & are now in an isolation hutch at Sars and are about to get a bath from Sars mum.

Another mission complete & I am now completely knackered!
