I can imagine that! Attempting to milk a Nanny goat is bad enough without the bucket being kicked over. Putting a nappy on a Billy Goat ..... well you are braver than me! A nappy on a guinea pig? now that is something you should never see!Freshly laid poop reminds me of when I used to do research on goat parasites, the goats had to wear a nappy for a couple of hours to make sure we got a really fresh poop sample... not suggesting that for Bernie of course, it just reminded me of all the bruises I suffered trying to persuade a chunky boer billy goat to wear his goat knickers for the afternoon!
So no hunching whilst pooing or straining with crackling bum hole noises? Sorry sounds horrid, but its what happens
Will pro c help? And some poop soup from Bernie? Ive never seen fiberplex in pets at home. Dots anus opening in also a little tiny bit sort of mucusey, but as i said she is still pooing good.
Her food portion size is ok, its her stealing Bernies food thats the problem. Its hard to control her
I have put it in one of their water bottles, It encourages Dot to drink more, she keeps going over to get more, do you know id the probiotic degrades in water over time? I know the vit c will. I'm syringing it aswell, but the bottle is just a bonusBoth will be fine. You can't really overdose with probiotics and they won't harm if they're not needed. Jon loves Pro C so hopefully Dot does too.
You could try feeding them separately. Jon is a hog with the vet so I need to make sure he doesn't eat it all.
Whats span down?I suggest cutting out the kale completely from her diet and syringing her extra water will do no harmHas she ever had her urine span down? That would show crystals / sludge
i worry about the vit c thats all, red bell and green bell peppers are ok but if I'm cutting out corainder and kale,It only leaves the nuggets( grain free ss) and peppers and a bit of pro c.I suggest cutting out the kale completely from her diet and syringing her extra water will do no harmHas she ever had her urine span down? Ok il ask about this, thanks. Do they did it on the spot? I have lost a pig to stones before, but a boar, and he just basicly seized up from it. Dot is basicly normal, just squatting alot and laying to eat hayThey put a urine sample in to a special machine that spins the urine and seperates it. It shows if there is crystals / sludge / blood and bacteria in the urine. If there’s no crystals, it’s highly unlikely they’ll be sludge / stones

So what do you feed daily. My two have never had kale and only have a bit of coriander and have never had an issue with lack of vitamin c![]()
So what do you feed daily.
I may copy this. I have been giving coriander everyday morning and night.Daily they have about a tablespoon of pellets, cumcumber, pepper, green bean, lettuce (usually little gem) and coriander although they don’t have coriander everyday. They have a plate of veggies twice a day. Then of course have unlimited hay. I’ll occassionally give them a treat of baby corn and a mixed salad bag that contains rocket and / or spinach. I’ve been feeding this diet since Ellen was 6 months old and she’s 4 on the 17th March
My job is really not helping with helping Dot, I'm

Is it possible to flush sludge out by upping water intake
When you say very bad, do you mean like stopped eating and all that? It could not be bladder sladge thats Dot has but i want to give some things a try anywayIt helps but it depends how severe the sludge is. My late Connie had it very bad as did Erin and they both required a bladder flush. Coriander is fine to eat twice a day, it’s only because mine eat it all and then I don’t go shopping again until later in the week

O god, sounds so bad!.When Connie had it, she was very poorly, was hardly eating and lost a lot of weight, and literally screaming in pain and hunching up when she urinated. I’ve never heard anything so heartbreaking. Erin was literally leaking urine, she was pure white but her whole back end was brown with urine and when the vet palpitated her bladder, she gushed wee that was bloody and sludgy. She had an ultrasound which showed her bladder was full of sludge
