Ever since the girls have started living indoors they have been drinking a little less, when they were outdoors they had a classic pet shop water bottle and they were drinking half a bottle every day, more particularly in the hot weathers. The indoor cage I bought came with a water bottle and they've been drinking less, not too much less but enough that I can notice it. Is it because of the climate change since they are indoors and the weather has cooled down significantly? Or is it more serious? I've checked they can drink efficiently and properly out of the bottle, it functions the exact same way their old bottle does, in fact I can hear them drinking now behind me as I write this thread, am I just overthinking?

Are they still urinating normally? I wouldn't worry too much as it probably is due to the change in temperature with it being cooler than outside. If you are really worried give them some watery veg along with the water like cucumber. :)

Is there a "normal" amount for piggies to drink? My older pair easily got through 200ml in a day, but one was diabetic and very elderly. My two new youngsters manage about 40-50 ml per day between them, but pee enough that I am not worried. They have cucumber as part of their veg everyday, so they are getting fluids that way too.

I'm pretty sure they are peeing normally so I won't worry, they get lots of fresh veg and grass too so I think they are okay :)
