My guinea pig Tofu is chewing/eating the aspen bedding in his cage, is this okay for him to do and if not what can I do to stop it....I do plan on switching to fleece soon very soon, but i still want my pig to be okay until then

Does he have his hay in a rack or on the floor? He shouldn’t really be eating the bedding. Have a look at the enrichment guide for ideas on things you can give him for entertainment.

Does he live alone, next door to another piggy or with another piggy? If he’s alone you have to make sure you get him a same sex friend as soon as possible. They’re very social and need constant companionship of their own kind. No amount of interacting with you will be enough.

Otherwise :wel: and be sure to check out other areas of the forum. There are LOTS of piggy pigtures 😁

It is in a hay rack for him at the top level :) I have quite a few hides and different balls and chews could they of just gotten bored of them? He does indeed have a guinea pig pal named Wasbi xD.
I did just put them in this cage and its the first time they have been on this type of bedding, could that be a reason why, or maybe they are bored of their chew toys? I will look at those forums for sure.

They don’t really have an interest in chew toys. Paper bag (handles removed) filled with hay or a tube stuffed with hay and forage will have them more interested than chew toys.
