Adult Guinea Pig
If you've seen my thread in piggy chat then you'll already know what he looks like, but I decided to get him out for a little photoshoot! I got him yesterday and he will be my last Milhaven piggy for quite some time (20 piggies is a nice round number to be going on with for now I think! :x) - he definitely won't be the last ever!
He's (obviously) a little PEW Peru(X?) - my first PEW ever and I think he's a gorgeous little man. The poor little lad hadn't had the best start to life before being taken in by Joanne. He spent his first night at the vets with a very serious case of mites and scurvy and was not a well little man at all. In Joanne's care he's bloomed and was finally well enough for his operation 5 weeks ago. He's now about 8 months old, and a lovely, healthy little man! He's small (ish - 905g) but perfectly formed and surprisngly strong and chunky - he feels heavier than he is!
This is how he looked not long after getting to Joanne, not nice to see him like that knowing him now, but at the same time great to know that he's not in that state anymore and a vey happy pig:
On Sunday (with any luck) he will be moving into the shed with my 9 strong herd, 4 strong creche and Flossie and Panda (who will be sectioned off at first as Flossie is extremely nervous) to eventually make a 16 strong herd! He's a very lucky boar! x)
Here he is!
Funky fringe!
Muuum, I'm shy!

He should grow a little more yet, but even if he doesn't he's pig enough to cope with his mission, should he choose to accept it...Milhaven's Website said:Milhaven welcomes a lovely young boy, Einstein, who is only around 4 months old. Little Einstein has the craziest hair we have ever seen! Sadly, his first night will be spent in in our Vets hospital, due to him being so ill. This poor little chap came to us with the worst case of Scurvey and mites we (and the vet) had ever encountered. He is very underweight and has possible impaired vision. Einstein is very ill and we have our fingers crossed that he will pull through.
