I would still prefer the syringing method, as it is more gentle. You can still sue the spray for the outside disinfection.
PS: it doesn't work on the ear, as that infection is still encapsulated.

When you say syringe is that soft none needle or witb a needle and.into his flesh.

HELP!
NIBBLES bit me and drew blood deep!
I tried to slowly rub off the scab he was wrestling me and moo heared nibbles and started yelling and crying and that made nibbles worse and he went crazy.
I didnt get the scab off or sqeeze.
And the abscess is in his throat it went deeper he has his neck and two big veins going down and its deep in the middle of his throat so when i gently sqeeze it gdts his veins too.
Short story i had the medicine in my hand nibbs on my lap and my right band re felling the syrgine and i went to re fill it and he bit my finger to protect his medicine.
I threw the sryinge in pain not finding it and used the other syringe gave him medicine then with no more syringes sprayed his wound on it but not in it.
He bit me through the gloves for 3-5seconts and wouldnt let go going deeper.
When he bit me i have not touched his wound yet just doing medicine.
And it stings really bad.
I'm afraid if he bites me one more time I'm not doing it anymore and just giving him the medicine.
Please help!

They are so mopey with out each other.

Ask the vet to help or get their advice on how to clean it which they should have given you the other day. Give them a call, I called mine the other day to ask about one of our guinea's that went to see her and she called back.
