Is there any treatments i can do, the vet is not an option right now ): i dont know what to do and shes passing
Olive is experiencing Septicemia. She is very weak, can't move. She is not eating, shes isolated herself to a corner and now is just breathing weird. I have no access to a vet and I'm crying my head off right now... could this transfer to her cage mate? He's freaking out on the other side but I'm scared he'll get this too. I don't know what to do, I feel absolutely helpless..
thanks for everyone's concern! so Olive was experiencing loss of balance, wheezing, hard breathing, slowness, staring at corners, not eating or drinking water, and hiding in her little house. I believe the reason why she got this is because she was pregnant, it was an accidental pregnancy and I had no clue. I did start to notice how big she was getting all of a sudden, so I did start to suspect she was pregnant and I made sure to give her more food, and a healthy diet. Unfortunately, yesterday at about 4 am my time, she gave birth and they didn't make it. They were all still in their bags when I took a look and dead. at first, I thought olive was experiencing a depressing stage so I just stayed with her and loved her but then I when I saw these weird things she was doing ( loss of balance, wheezing, hard breathing, slowness...etc) I googled Septicemia and noticed these were all signs of it. I was not able to reach a vet because I live in the middle of nowhere and I also didn't have a car at the moment. I tried my best to comfort her though I knew she was passing. Her cagemate was very sad and squeaking. Olive did not make it, she passed away as soon as I sent my last thread... If anyone could let me know if my other guinea pig is safe, that'll be very much appreciated. I certainly am going to take him to a vet for a check-up and to make sure he is not sick as soon as I get my car back. I did clean up the cage, for now. Thank you for all your responds.
