So! Cherry was on her best behaviour for a change..well, almost. She sat for 2 FNA's without biting anyone. He agrees its acting weird for cancer, and has agreed to put her on a few weeks of Sulfatrim in case it's caseous lymphadenitis which is what I was suspecting. Her aspirations showed no sign of cancer that he could see, but also no pus.. there was, however, differing sizes of lymphocytes, given the size of the lumps and how thick they can wall them off it's possible that he just didn't hit the part where there was a pocket of pus, but I'm pretty happy with that. I can collect her antibiotics tomorrow when they've ordered them in. I'm still staying guarded, given the size of all her lumps she's not a million miles away from a crisis.

The good news is, stabbing her big lump seems to have relieved some pressure on it, as she was happily eating some hay a little while ago so she's obviously a tiny bit more comfortable.

As she hopped back into her carrier she paused to shoot a jet of urine back onto the table for him to check 🤣 which was kind of her.

(Ignore the hay on the floor, I'd just finished cleaning them all out)

Cherry gets the Guinea Pig Union award for using pee expressively (Veterinary category) 🏆😉 Glad she could have a chance of beating the illness, she is a feisty girlie ❤️
 
Just given her her sulfatrim after a dash down the vets, I'm slightly annoyed that they weren't given Friday when I first asked the other one but she has them now.. not much else to be done. She has unfortunately taken a turn for the worse over night, becoming a bit lethargic. I know that they take a couple of days to show improvement but I'm hopeful that with the antibiotics in her system helping her body fight off this infection she will at least stop getting worse. She's on a pretty hefty dose so fingers crossed, I'm not hopeful but everyone's done what they can for her this week.

It is a small comfort that she left you in her home slipping away
You did everything you could but there was a greater pull to RB 🌈
