Dear Bella she makes us all so happy to hear how she is fighting on ….🥰
 
Bella says thankyou for all the wellwishes! I've just put her to bed, she's very active currently and seemingly to get frustrated her legs and head won't do what she wants..she's had her meds so hopefully the gabapentin might chill her out a bit.

She's got a nice pile of grass, fresh hay, cucumber, celery and a tomato to keep her busy overnight. Every morning I wake up to her still here is a bit of a miracle atm so going to bed currently makes me very anxious, but all I can do is all we're doing, and hope for the best. I'll check in on her in the night as I pretty much always wake up every few hours these days, I think my body has adapted to syringe feeding against my will after all these years 😅

So sad to read this, she was such a lovely girl, and what a trooper. You really gave her such a good run and you worked hard together to keep things going against all the odds. You have been the best piggy parent to her, how loved she was. I am glad it was peaceful. You must be absolutely shattered though, take care of yourself. RIP lovely Bella, what a spirited girl.

The heat, rain and my complete disinterest in weeding the garden has created an incredibly healthy crop of sow thistle growing along the fence! I've cut some for the piggies tea, safe to say they're thrilled! All 9 are demolishing their piles, I've still not got used to feeding so few.
Ignore Olivers wet bottom, he's started to get slightly impacted so he got dunked into a nice cool bath to make sure he was squeaky clean as its cool enough today to have the windows wide open to get some air in and I didnt want to take the risk of the old boy making friends with any flies that come in.

Sat with the piggies to take my mind off being in pain.
The culmination of all my health issues has resulted in the advice that I should have a mirena coil fitted to finally stop the bleeding. I was advised this would be more painful than normal as I'd never had kids but was reassured she had fitted thousands and I'd be OK.

Well, it wasn't ok 🤣 it went so badly she couldn't even fit it so I now have to wait for a hospital referral to have it done. I'm grateful she didn't try to force it, I refused to tap out because I just wanted it done but she decided it just wasn't going to go in without dilating gel which they don't carry (how ridiculous) 🙄

Anyway. Piggies always make things better 😊 how can those adorable faces not cheer anyone up! Oliver, Banjo and the majority of Amelia didn't want to stand for pictures but I did get one of Amelia sleeping in the hay bless her.

Piggies are such a boon when you are struggling. So sorry that you are having so much trouble and pain.
 
There is no way a coil can be fitted when you've not had children.Cervix is tight.i was going to be given a general anaesthetic before I was going to have one fitted,but I decided not to....I've not had children either.
Guinea pigs are beautiful,they cheer you and everyone up!
I hope you find another way.😍
 
Thankyou! I think the alternative is surgery to scrape out the lining of the uterus but you have to jump through the hoops of the coil failing first 🙄
Luckily the pain has mostly eased, I'm sat with a nice big glass of orange juice as I'm craving something sweet, I suppose I had a bit of shock.. my blood pressure was apparently high (can't imagine why 😅) once I've eaten and not quite so weak feeling, I'll get one of the piggies out for a nice cuddle I think. Natures heat pack lol

Sorry that the procedure didn't go well and that you are in pain 😔 I hope a solution can be found. I'm glad that the piggies are helping you cope, they are so beautiful 🥰🐾🙏♥️
 
Well things keep getting better 😅 Monday night I suddenly developed really bad toothache, wasn't as bad yesterday until 6pm when it was excruciating. Took my anxious self to the dentist today, got liquid antibiotics which cost me £45 on a private prescription!?!? Oh to be able to swallow tablets. Booked for an extraction tomorrow 😭 wonderful.

On the plus side the dentist was at least very nice and understanding with me trying not to freak out.
