Well Jack is certainly going through the wars.
Came home night to find that his previously unhindered no eye socket is now a problem. He had his eye removed before he came to me, and nearly every vet I've seen since has said it was right poor job. Yep I know, but he has me to look after him now. However, he sometimes has milky fluid (not the usual eye cleaning fluid) escape from a gap.
However tonight, it was right very white and creamy, with a smell. I've been topping him up with syringe feeding because he isn't in great health these days. He is clearly in pain - obvious tonight so I've administered some Metacam tonight to give him some comfort and ideally he'll need some Baytril as an antibiotic to deal with I guess some kind of infection. I'd find it hard to believe he's been scratching himself to cause the eye to be an issue.
So what do the good peeps on here think?
I do wonder whether we are getting to the end of the road with Jack now, so hard to keep weight on him, he's weighed each night. He's not taking that much of an interest in his veggies.
Thanks all.x
