So, just casually sitting there feeding one of the boys some pellets, and I thought 'hey I wonder what they taste like if they love them so much' ....

Me and the OH (@C&&Frank ) tried one, they are so grim, it was like putting yucky tasting cardboard in my mouth. The after taste isn't so fab either.

I'm still finding bits now.... so grim.

I wouldn't advise it.

Maybe I should, there was some guy on tv the other day that tests dog and cat food (dry and wet) to ensure the dogs get the best tasting/quality products.

So maybe I should also get paid and test guinea pig nuggets.

Burgess Excel Mint - gets the thumbs down.

I must admit to tasting Septrin and baytril in my time. I can now appreciate why piggies prefer Septrin to baytril!

Many moons ago, me and my friend tried chocolate dog biscuits (the ones shaped in to a bone). We imagined them to taste like chocolate digestives and believe me, they really don't!

I was tempted to try the metacam and his Septrin the other day seeing as Frank loves it... I didn't I opted against it.

You know those little bags that have like a herb mix and stuff in them? Well the popcorn in those are delicious imo. Archie never eats them either, so I enjoy them :P

My dog reckons my piggies pellets are d - e - l - i - c - i - o u - s  he just luuuuurves breakfast time and the chance of sneaking a few stray pellets that fall out of the bag. I, however, do not enjoy it so much since said dog has inflammatory bowel disease and is only allowed to eat his prescription food. Race the dog to the pellet is not a fun game!

On advice of this thread, though, I shall ignore his opinion and not try piggie pellets... ;)

I never tried a menthol but I did try a mollasses once. It always smells lush but it tastes awful! I also tried Hifi, no flavour in that! Oh and calm and condition, that's horrible stuff too!

Beaphar Guineapig nuggets taste pretty decent, always take a little handful for myself when I top up my boys bowl... I would avoid eating them directly out the piggies bowl though, hairy nuggets would be the least of your problems!

Ive tried hay! all be it by accident! I fell into some hay bales while i was at college, one of them decided to completely fall apart on impact. I went face first and was half way through a "ahhhhh" when i collided with it. I can tell you now.... avoid hay at all costs... It feel like you've tried to eat dust mixed with bits of stuff. and if you tried to spit it out it doesn't all come out.. and then you have no choice but to swallow it. Altogether its quite an unpleasant experience! Oh... and its a bit like sweetcorn for us... at least it was for me...:yikes: I thought I had worms. Then I remembered.. i'd eaten hay.
