Adult Guinea Pig
Okay so I'm still rather anxious and paranoid about the experience of dealing with ringworm on Misty. I never thought it would bother me as much as it has, but here we are.
I've got a few questions about it:
Misty was treated every day for 3 weeks using intrafungal.
I bathed her once weekly, and f10'd her cage every week.
Ultimately since her being given the all clear from the vet, everything that she would've been in contact with has been thrown away.
During treatment I was wearing clothes that were washed at 60 every day. Including disposable gloves each day.
Her all clear was given on the 7th April. No new signs are yet to appear. However I've seen some others mentions they've had new outbreaks 6 months down the line, but as my mum has said we don't know the full extent of their environmental decontamination. I know I can't live worrying about another outbreak, but anyone who's dealt with mental illness will know that's easier said than done.
I guess I'm on the hunt for some more positive stories of it, as everything that's ever posted online tends to be negative and worst case scenarios.
Thank you in advance.
